Trek buckets will act as your seat on TREK as well as something to pack your clothing in. We want everyone to find a pioneer or ancestor to bring (on your bucket) on TREK with them. This person or persons you choose will adorn the outside of your buckets at TREK. You do not need to pick someone you are related to. You can pick any pioneer or even someone from the Martin or Willie handcart companies. We want you to choose someone that you relate to, find a story that speaks to you!
At TREK you will be sharing these bucket people/stories many times with all the people around you and the people in your family. These are meant to be inspiring and motivating. Everyone’s bucket will look a little different. Use scrapbook paper as the background, putting pictures or stories on the scrapbook paper. Wrap this paper around your buckets and seal it with a good layer of clear packing tape. We have seen people use duct tape and even spray paint. The sky is the limit! You can use stories, quotes, pictures, etc. Be creative!!! Just make sure you get a person and their story on there! We have also seen people use vinyl to add lettering to their buckets. Bucket seat pads are optional!
